Lucky

"In the summer of 2008, I was dealing with the possibility of having to have (my dog)Lucky euthanized because of a spinal injury.  With Dr. Katz's treatments he is like a puppy again, running, jumping, and playing ball.  With an occasional "tune-up" he is doing fantastic.  Thanks Dr. Katz for giving Lucky back to me."

Casanova (aka Cowboy)

Dear Dr. Katz,

I want to thank you so much for helping me to walk again.  My foster mom took a picture of me for you to see that not only can I walk, but I can RUN now.  Without your caring acupuncture treatments I would still be dragging my butt and now I get to go home and be with the rest of my family.  Who would have ever thought those needles would make such a big difference in just a few weeks.  You are truly a healer and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hugs,

Casanova (aka Cowboy)  Letter actually written by foster mom Nancy in Stratford

Madison

Madison has been suffering from severe arthritis of the hips and spine.  She had become less active and uncomfortable.  After her first acupuncture, she has shown progress.  She became (more) friendly and started jumping onto beds (again).  She appears to be in less pain and is more active with the family.  Thank you (Dr. Katz) for recommending acupuncture.  It works wonders!

Robert Pomeranian

I first fell in love with Robert Pomeranian when I saw him in the animal shelter, hopping up and down wildly on his hind paws.  He was considered a senior dog and had already had a pretty tough life, but I was confident I could provide him with a loving and healthy environment in which to live out his “golden” years.  That’s part of the reason why I was so devastated when he was diagnosed with kidney failure.  It was heartbreaking to watch him lose his sparkle, refuse to eat and stop bouncing around with his characteristic “Pomeranian dance.”

In my search for treatment options, I made Robert an acupuncture appointment with Dr. Katz and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made with regard to his health and well-being.  Dr. Katz’s talent as an acupuncturist is evident as Robert began to see results from treatment instantly.  His energy and appetite improved tremendously, his coat began to regain its luster and his eyes were as bright as I ever remembered seeing them.  Dr. Katz even recognized Robert as Lyme positive immediately and began to put him on an integrative treatment regime. In addition to being an incredible clinical veterinarian and diagnostician, Dr. Katz’s abilities as an acupuncturist allow her to create a more holistic approach to care.  Her bedside manner not only keeps Robert relaxed but it helps to put my worries at ease, as well.

Robert’s improvement was a direct result of Dr. Katz’s care and expertise.  I am positive he experiences a better life thanks to her unbelievable touch.  I know it for sure when I see Robert, once again, “dancing” around on those little back legs.

Not only do I recommend Dr. Katz and Caring Hands Animal Acupuncture to all of the fellow animal-parents in my life, but I would whole heartedly encourage anyone interested in creating a healthier and happier life for their pet to seek out the practice.

A sad update regarding Robert.  Unfortunately, little Robert ultimately succumbed to his condition, but he had 6 more wonderful months with his family that might not have been possible otherwise.

Louie

We wish to acknowledge that our Louie was able to function at his best under Dr. Katz's care.  For the first time, he had the benfit of state of the art equipment, close personal monitoring with individualized assessments and adjustments within his acupuncture treatments.  He was always greeted warmly and treated respectfully within Dr. Katz's environment.  He was also able to transition into this treatment setting without his typical level of anxiety that he consistently experienced in both new and familiar settings.

While we are sad that our Beloved Louie's life was recently cut short due to other unrelated medical events, we remain grateful that he experienced increased mobility, comfort, and pain free episodes in his final life chapter with Dr. Katz.
