Caring Hands Animal Acupuncture is a veterinary acupuncture service provided by Elisa Katz, DVM CVA.  Dr.  Katz is a licensed veterinarian in Connecticut and is certified by IVAS (The International Veterinary Acupuncture Society).  After years of seeing patients suffer from medical conditions that were only partially helped or could not be helped by Western medicine (pharmaceutical drugs) Dr. Katz sought to become trained in acupuncture to give these patients another option to ease their pain and/or control their disease.  Dr. Katz has been using acupuncture to treat patients for 3 years and has seen many animals benefit from it's effects including one of her own dogs, Sasha (pictured at right).  She currently treats dogs, cats and horses with acupuncture for various medical conditions.    Dr. Katz is also certified in veterinary stem cell therapy which can be of great benefit to dogs with arthritis, ligament injuries, and other bone or joint conditions.  For more information regarding stem cell therapy, please see the links page and visit the Vet-Stem site.

Dr. Katz will supplement treatments from your primary veterinarian to help achieve the best control of your pet's condition be it arthritis pain, allergies, anxiety, disc disease, or other problem.

Dr. Katz has recently joined New England Veterinary Center and Cancer Care in Windsor, CT.  Dr. Katz also does housecalls on a very limited basis.
